About The Position
Are you a WordPress wizard with a sharp eye for design? Our client is a premium building superintendent service dedicated to providing a hassle-free experience for NYC property managers, landlords, and residents. We are looking for a Web Designer & Digital Specialist who can bridge the gap between beautiful design and functional code. While Video Editor might be in your toolkit, your primary superpower should be building and maintaining high-quality web experiences using WordPress and Figma. You will be the architect of our digital presence, ensuring our brand feels as professional and seamless online as our services are in person.
Requirements
- WordPress Mastery: Deep understanding of the WordPress ecosystem, including Gutenberg, Elementor, or similar builders, and basic PHP/CSS knowledge.
- Figma Proficiency: Ability to move from a blank canvas to a developer-ready handoff .
- Portfolio: A strong collection of live websites and design files that demonstrate clean layouts and intuitive navigation.
- Problem Solver: A ‘‘hassle-free’’ mindset—you find ways to make technology work for the user, not the other way around.
Nice To Haves
- Video Content: Ability to edit short-form video content for social media or instructional ‘’how-to’’ videos for residents/staff.
- Marketing Support: Experience with email marketing templates (Mailchimp/Klaviyo) or basic graphic design for digital ads.
- NYC Real Estate Tech: Familiarity with the property management industry or local NYC market trends.
Responsibilities
- Web Development & Management: Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites. You’ll handle everything from theme customization to plugin integration and troubleshooting.
- UI/UX Design: Create high-fidelity mockups and prototypes in Figma for new landing pages, site features, or marketing assets.
- Optimization: Ensure all web pages are fast, mobile-responsive, and optimized for SEO to attract NYC property stakeholders.
- Plugin Orchestration: Select and configure plugins that enhance user experience (e.g., scheduling tools for property managers or resident portals).
- Brand Consistency: Maintain a clean, professional aesthetic across all digital touchpoints.
