About The Position
The Web Content Specialist at Ace Hardware is responsible for overseeing the company's primary communication channels, which include ACENET, Ace Online, and the Vendors Portal. This role involves planning, scheduling, editing, and posting content to these websites, ensuring that the company's strategic priorities are effectively communicated to the appropriate audiences at the right times. The individual will act as the overall editor for these platforms, serving as the gatekeeper to ensure that all posted information is relevant, timely, and aligns with the organization's communication strategy. Additionally, the Specialist will ensure that all articles maintain a consistent voice and adhere to established best practices and standards. In this position, the Web Content Specialist will maintain the organization's Editorial Calendar and manage the Corporate Communications inbox system. They will take a lead role in scheduling articles across all sites to ensure an optimal quantity and quality of content. The Specialist will also create, edit, and distribute daily emails to Ace retailers, highlighting key news headlines, alerts, and action items, as well as weekly emails to Ace employees with similar content. Evaluating article performance through continual examination of metrics will be crucial, as the Specialist will need to make content and design recommendations based on the data collected. Furthermore, they will be responsible for updating and maintaining content on digital signage located throughout the Oak Brook campus.
