About The Position

The web content manager is an integral member of the team responsible for managing and developing content across alteryx.com. In this role, you will lead and contribute to a best-in-class web user experience that engages visitors and drives action. As a member of the Content & Creative Studio, you'll collaborate with team members to ensure that our web content informs, educates, and converts visitors with compelling copy and storytelling that aligns with the Alteryx brand. As a writer with a web content strategist mindset, you'll approach alteryx.com with a digital editor's eye, looking for ways to keep the content dynamic and relevant with a regular cadence of updates using a variety of media types. You're experienced publishing directly into WordPress. A strong partnership with our Digital Strategy & Operations team is critical, as they manage the technical aspects of the Alteryx web experience as well as our SEO program. You'll tap into your operational side to conduct regular content and performance audits and, alongside the Digital Strategy team, tune, test and experiment by providing content support for a/b tests and personalization strategies. You're also knowledgeable about the changing landscape of SEO and GEO and collaborate on ideas for how our web presence can impact our AI search results. You'll partner with demand generation, localization, product marketing, and other functional teams who contribute content to alteryx.com, to continuously evolve and improve our web content. This role will collaborate with owners of additional Alteryx online properties such as the Alteryx Community and customer portals, but will not directly manage those properties. Building alignment with these colleagues and contributing to an integrated online ecosystem is important. As someone who's both data-driven and creative, you're comfortable managing many projects at once at a variety of stages and can maintain a strong sense of organization and prioritization. Experience building, training, and prompting ChatGPT is a plus, as you'll be encouraged to use AI (with human-in-the-loop guardrails) to drive efficiencies for your work.

Requirements

• Clear understanding of content strategy, the customer journey, and the website's impact as our 'front door'.
• Highly detail-oriented, ability to juggle multiple projects effectively.
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to influence without authority.
• Working knowledge modern SEO and AI SEO/GEO principles.
• Exceptional proofreading skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of Alteryx company, platform, go-to-market priorities, and thought leadership initiatives in order to ensure messaging is reflected accurately and consistently in web content.
• By partnering with the Digital team, learn about digital user journeys, motivations and drivers for key audience segments; create content with these learnings in mind.
• Develop and implement processes for creating and updating content in alignment with the marketing and company strategy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues and stakeholders to understand content requests and measurement goals.
• Plan, write (or coordinate) content in accordance with web, SEO and messaging strategies.
• Integrate content throughout the site to maximize content investments and enrich the user experience.
• Ensure all content is accurate and aligned with brand messaging and editorial style guidelines.
• Ensure content is relevant and engaging to defined audiences.
• Contribute to regular review/update of all web content.
• Maintain a calendar of updates for an operational approach.
• Continually monitor trends and best practices in web content.
