About The Position

BA Global Talent is seeking an experienced Web Applications Programmer based in Florida to support critical technology initiatives at the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), Division of Emergency Preparedness and Community Support, Bureau of Radiation Control. This role will focus on the development of new web-based systems and the modernization of existing radiation-related applications used by the Department. The selected professional will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including business analysis, system design, coding, testing, deployment, maintenance, and user support. This opportunity is for a self-starter who thrives in structured, fast-paced environments, supporting meaningful public-sector initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science.
  • 4+ years of experience in application development and business requirements analysis.
  • 4+ years of experience with C#.
  • 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET.
  • 4+ years of experience with Azure DevOps.
  • 4+ years of experience developing web applications using ASP.NET MVC, VB.NET, C#, and JavaScript.
  • 3+ years of experience with LINQ and Entity Framework.
  • Experience modernizing legacy Visual FoxPro applications into .NET / SQL Server environments.
  • Experience building desktop/web solutions using WPF and MVVM architecture.
  • 4+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong SQL skills including stored procedures, triggers, scheduled jobs, and performance tuning.
  • 4+ years of experience writing test scripts and documenting user requirements.
  • Experience supporting government software systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and remote collaboration tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Laserfiche workflows and document imaging systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and map operational processes with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams to manage assigned tasks, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Research system issues and recommend technical solutions or enhancements.
  • Develop web applications, stored procedures, and SQL queries to support system functionality.
  • Modernize legacy applications and convert existing systems into current .NET-based solutions.
  • Prepare user documentation and technical support materials.
  • Create and execute test plans to validate enhancements and new functionality.
  • Perform system testing, defect tracking, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
  • Promote code across Local, Development, Test, and Production environments.
  • Provide technical support to end users and resolve production issues.
  • Perform regular application maintenance and continuous improvements.
  • Communicate project updates, progress, and deliverables to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with data security and confidentiality requirements.
  • Submit accurate reporting and task/hour documentation as required.
