About The Position

You are responsible for application design, development, integration and delivery and application maintenance and support. You are self-motivated professional, who will also bring leadership skills and quickly learn new technologies and programming languages. You will propose, develop, and support customer facing web applications as a DevSecOps team member and provide hands-on solutions to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 1-5 years of software development experience in the development of commercial applications using modern software engineering principles and practices.
• Demonstrated understanding of software development experience in the development of commercial applications using modern software engineering principles and practices.
• Demonstrated record of success participating distributed software delivery teams using Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies i.e. AWS, Serverless, Event Driven Architecture, SOC, MicroServices, Microfrontend, CI/CD, Infrastructure as code, and other modern technologies.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, architecture/design patterns, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and deliver high-quality code independently by following Bloomberg INDG best practices.
• Understand and make well-reasoned design decisions and tradeoffs in your area; able to work in other areas of the codebase with guidance.
• Diagnose and fix production issues.
• Communicate with the development lead to raise issues and identify potential barriers in a timely fashion.
• Build enterprise applications at-scale using demonstrated expertise in computer science fundamentals.
• Develop scalable, high availability, high performance components with a deep understanding of front end and back-end architectures.
• Seek empirical evidence through proof of concepts, tests, and external research.
• Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
