Our flagship programs, Academy for Urban Scholars High School, NCUS TEC, the African American Male Wellness Agency, and the Africentric Personal Development Shop, empower individuals and families across the country. Position Overview We are seeking a passionate and proactive Web Administrator responsible for maintaining, building, and optimizing NCUS, and its organizations, websites, the main intranet, and overall digital presence. This role ensures strong website and intranet performance, supports online brand management, and assists social media and internal communications teams in aligning web content with broader digital strategies. The web administrator will translate digital strategy into measurable results through performance analysis, technical optimization, and consistent execution, all while protecting and strengthening NCUS’ online brand reputation and internal digital infrastructure. The ideal candidate blends creativity with technical proficiency, demonstrates sound judgment in fast-moving digital environments, and brings a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to advancing NCUS’ visibility, credibility, and influence online. This role works closely with the Information Technology department to ensure all web and intranet platforms align with NCUS enterprise technology standards, cybersecurity requirements, data governance policies, and system architecture. The Web Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining secure, compliant, and scalable digital platforms that integrate with NCUS’s Microsoft 365 ecosystem and other enterprise systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years in website management, digital marketing, or web administration.
  • Proficiency in WordPress, SEO and SEM best practices, Google Analytics, and digital optimization tools.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a mission-driven environment.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID) in a professional or enterprise context.
  • Understanding of basic web security concepts, including HTTPS, authentication, access controls, and data protection.
  • Experience working with internal collaboration tools, such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Intranets, while working collaboratively with different teams across an organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a multichannel digital strategy that includes website conversion campaigns, search engine marketing (SEM), and search engine optimization (SEO) to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain and optimize organizations websites to enhance user experience, engagement, and conversion.
  • Leverage analytics and SEM tools to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure security, functionality, routine updates, and plugin management across all web properties.
  • Maintain documentation for web systems, integrations, plugins, and platform dependencies to support continuity, audits, and knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to update public and intranet content, including program information, resources, events, and internal communications.
  • Develop and execute a multichannel digital strategy, including SEO, SEM, and conversion campaigns to achieve KPIs.
  • Translate digital performance data into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on key online and digital metrics to measure effectiveness and inform strategy adjustments.
  • Partner with the Information Technology team to ensure websites, intranet platforms, and digital tools comply with NCUS cybersecurity standards, access controls, data privacy requirements, and acceptable use policies.
  • Coordinate with IT on hosting environments, domain management, SSL certificates, DNS configuration, backups, and disaster recovery considerations for all web properties.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure performance optimization, uptime monitoring, and incident response procedures for web-related outages or issues.
  • Monitor the organizations’ digital presence to ensure consistent and accurate use of logos, messaging, and visual identity across all platforms.
  • Implement and enforce brand standards, systems, and procedures to ensure a cohesive brand experience across all digital channels and locations.
  • Monitor brand sentiment and online reputation across digital platforms.
  • Identify and respond to brand risks, misinformation, or reputational issues in collaboration with leadership.
  • Support crisis communication efforts with timely, brand-aligned messaging when needed.
