About The Position
NPG of Yuma-El Centro in Yuma, Arizona has an immediate opening for a full-time Meteorologist/Weather Anchor. We're looking for an articulate meteorologist or weather anchor that can produce and present multiple weather segments during our weekday newscasts, using weather data and Baron computer graphics. Candidate must be able to present weather information in a clear, engaging and meaningful manner to our viewers. You must also have a passion for covering weather. The candidate will also need to be familiar with responding to breaking weather news, and be familiar with weather in our viewing area. The candidate we choose must be able to shoot, write scripts, lead-ins and other material related to weather. Candidate must also have a strong social media presence, and work on growing their presence during their time with the station. Candidate will be expected to post content multiple times a day not only on our website, but also on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, as well as their own station accounts. We are owned by a very progressive company that's not afraid to try new technology to enhance our product.
Requirements
- Familiar with weather in our viewing area
- Strong social media presence
- Valid driver's license
- Pass a drug test and background check

- Background in covering weather using Baron
- Spanish proficiency
