Our Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program is creating the first hypersonic system for the U.S. Navy, and we are looking for talented individuals to join our team. Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Platform Systems element as a Weapon Control System (WCS) Test Engineer. In this role, you will: Support and be responsible for the test and readiness activities included exercises, rehearsals, and checkout activities for the WCS Perform review and analysis of WCS data as a result of testing campaigns Support the WCS Operator Lead Responsible for operation of the WCS during CPS Ground Test and Flight Tests Travel Requirements: Travel expected for extended periods (up to 1 month durations at a time) to support significant test campaigns at government test ranges, partner shipyards, and/or supplier facilities.

Requirements

  • Fluency with standard Microsoft Office Products
  • Competency with basic engineering analysis practice
  • Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods
  • Willingness and eligibility to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with console operations, systems, and practices
  • Strong interpersonal, technical writing and oral presentation skills
  • Basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
  • Experience with military facilities, personnel, and practices
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance

Responsibilities
