About The Position

The Real Estate Operations Associate at Bessemer Trust plays a crucial role in supporting the Real Estate Advisory group by facilitating the day-to-day operations related to the management of discretionary real estate assets. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including asset management support, regulatory compliance, and lease administration, all aimed at ensuring the prudent administration of real estate assets held in trusts and estates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related business experience required
  • Basic Knowledge of Real Estate & Fiduciary concepts
  • Knowledge of property insurance administration a plus
  • Knowledge of vendor contract administration a plus
  • Superior analytical & independent problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork qualities
  • Results driven, detailed oriented and a motivated self-starter
  • Working knowledge of Yardi Property Management
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office - Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
  • Proficiency in or willingness to learn company applications and electronic filing system.

Responsibilities

  • Support real estate Asset Managers and Client Advisors with real estate asset onboarding, account management, due diligence, and record keeping for discretionary real estate asset management.
  • Assist with obtaining periodic property inspections and valuations for discretionary real estate assets.
  • Coordinate internally with Client Advisors and Asset Managers for retaining, administering and scheduling outside professionals.
  • Support the senior Real Estate Operations member with account opening workflow process, maintaining Real Estate Advisory's property management software system, internal reporting, and recurring regulatory responsibilities.
  • Preparation of materials and critical date tracking for internal reporting to fee department, banking committees, internal audit, vendor management, business continuity, and other internal departments.
  • Assist Asset Managers with administration of residential and commercial leases and occupancy agreements.
  • Monitor lease critical dates, payment of rent, and compliance with lease provisions.
  • Oversee the administration of insurance associated with real property including property and liability insurance, tenant insurance, evidence of insurance for vendors and service providers.
