About The Position

A Wealth Planner will provide comprehensive wealth management strategies consistent with our clients' goals and values. This colleague will support a Wealth Advisor in managing client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Series 65 or equivalent
  • 3+ years financial planning, estate planning and/or tax planning/ preparation experience
  • Proficient in developing wealth planning and investment recommendations and able to present to clients when applicable.
  • Proficiency in all CSA functions, plus: Ability to talk to clients independently. Completion of CPU levels 100-300. Ability to train and mentor CSAs.
  • Ability to develop wealth planning and investment recommendations and present to clients when applicable.
  • Demonstrate strong and effective leadership skills through clear communication and collaboration with others.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills with both external clients and internal collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of e-Money, Salesforce a strong plus.
  • Ability to listen and empathize with clients, spot, and analyze issues, and simplify/explain financial concepts to provide solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines in a proactive manner with little supervision required.
  • Must accept and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Tenacious about doing what is right for the client – always.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Wealth Advisors in managing existing client relationships.
  • Lead select client relationships independently.
  • Present portions of client meetings and communicate with clients directly.
  • Proactively engage with clients to ensure a best-in-class experience.
  • Support the full planning process: discovery, data gathering, plan development, presentation, implementation, and ongoing reviews.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial plans, including: Cash-flow modeling Retirement projections Tax strategies Estate planning Insurance analysis Education funding Charitable giving Equity compensation
  • Design, implement, and maintain discretionary investment portfolios aligned with each client’s financial plan.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, execute rebalancing, tax-loss harvesting, and manage cash flows.
  • Stay informed on market trends, manager research, and emerging investment opportunities.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of all client-related transaction requests.
  • Maintain CRM (Salesforce) and utilize financial planning software (eMoney).
  • Participate in company committees and firm-wide initiatives.
  • Understand internal solutions and collaborate across service lines within Cerity Partners.
