About The Position

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Wealth Manager to enhance client relationships and develop new wealth management business. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive financial solutions, including trust administration and estate planning, while collaborating with various financial services to meet clients' needs. The Wealth Manager will also mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with relevant policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in financial planning, finance, accounting, management, or a related field.
• Three or more years of experience in an Associate Wealth Manager or equivalent role.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate degree in a business-related field or Juris Doctorate (JD).
• Industry-related certifications such as Certified Financial Planner or Certified Wealth Strategist.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in identifying and achieving financial goals.
• Advise sophisticated Private Wealth relationships based on fiduciary standards.
• Make recommendations to leadership regarding pricing and operations.
• Mentor Associate Wealth Managers in client relationship management.
• Devise strategies for new business development and confer with potential clients.
• Develop relationships with clients' other advisors for comprehensive planning.
• Participate in professional development activities to maintain certifications.
• Serve on department and/or bank committees as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, local, and company policies.
