About The Position

The Wealth Management & Trust Intern is responsible for performing a variety of duties under the direct supervision of management. Organizational Duties and Responsibilities: Supports the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank. Complies willingly with all organizational policies and procedures. Supports all functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • High School or GED Equivalent
  • Employees are expected to represent Stock Yards Bank & Trust in a professional manner to customers and outside contacts
  • Employees should possess strong interpersonal communication skills, consisting of the ability to write and speak effectively to others
  • Ability to foster teamwork and motivate colleagues
  • Client-centered focus with strategic thinking ability
  • Basic knowledge of a broad range of estate and trust concepts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Must be self-motivated, dependable, and timely
  • Demonstrate initiative and active listening skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent grammar, spelling and business writing skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize heavy volumes of work in a multi-task environment
  • Ability to function independently, as well as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be highly detail oriented
  • Strong MS Office skills including, but not limited to: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Primarily sedentary work performed in an office environment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
  • Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with clients, team members, and vendors via phone, video, and in person
  • Visual acuity sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents, and financial data
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10–15 pounds occasionally (e.g., files, office supplies)

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to Wealth Advisors, Trust Client Service Associates, and other WM&T employees as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
