About The Position

The Wealth Management Services (WMS) Senior Operations Manager is primarily responsible for all aspects of management and oversight of assigned Wealth Fee Processing team within WMS. This position plans, organizes and provides leadership working closely with various units within Wealth Management and Enterprise Operations and Information Technology with considerable focus on controlling significant financial risk. This position oversees department operational functions to ensure they are executed accurately and efficiently while adhering to governing body regulations and achieving service level objectives. This position will serve as a primary escalation point of high impact issues requiring urgent and immediate resolution. Team Culture Our team collaborates effectively to meet client objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Accounting, or Finance
  • 12+ years of directly related experience in Wealth Management Operations, Securities and/or cash processing, and/or Risk management
  • at least 4 years of experience in a management capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all departmental operations and resolve complex issues requiring advanced judgment.
  • Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • Ensure technical problems related to work processes and equipment are effectively resolved.
  • Manage departmental staff through first-line managers, setting priorities and overseeing daily operations.
  • Make staffing decisions, including hiring, training, development planning, and retention strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and handle escalated issues related to control accounts.
  • Lead departmental planning and coordinate with other departments, vendors, and during mergers or conversions.
  • Define annual objectives, manage budgets, and prepare reports on operational and financial performance.
