About The Position

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Operations Associate role in Wealth Management's Capital Markets & Core Processing division. Candidate with be part of the Balance & Control team responsible for various Cash and Position reconciliations. Examples include Agent Bank Securities, DTCC, and others. This is an Associate professional position at the P2 level within Core Services, which is responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products. The Balance & Control team of Wealth Management Operations is a responsible for the integrity of the Firm's books and records through the reconciliation of the security ledger (Stock Record) and the cash sub-ledgers that roll into the General Ledger. Daily the team oversees and interacts with all of the various Operations Core processing teams through the balancing of assigned accounts, overseeing exception reporting, monitoring and tracking root cause of exceptions, recommending resolutions and ensuring risk controls are being properly applied.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of brokerage clearance and settlement process
  • Basic accounting (credit and debits) knowledge
  • Analytical Skills, able to perform root cause analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel skills, be able to perform v-look-up and pivot table.
  • Organization skills, knowing how to prioritize their daily tasks and communicate if deadlines are at risk of being missed.
  • Able to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely using both written and verbal.
  • Able to recognize when to escalate to Management.
  • College Degree and Financial Industry Knowledge
  • Financial industry product knowledge (Clearance & Settlement)
  • Basic knowledge of applicable compliance rules and regulations (15c3-3)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power-Point
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
