The modern Wealth Management industry has been shaped by disruptive forces from pricing pressure and new market entrants to a need for refreshed distribution strategies in the face of shifting customer preferences. EY Consulting's Wealth Management practice is a unique, industry-focused business unit that provides technology consulting services to asset and wealth management firms and services providers. We partner with project teams within the sector to support clients in defining and implementing technology solutions to enhance and expand current operations. Assist in providing comprehensive technology solutions that enable asset and wealth management firms to enhance business performance through strategic technology initiatives. Participate in technology strategy and enablement, front and back-office platform assessment, and information management services and security. Assist in creating thought leadership and recommendations to the management based on technology and process best practices. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Manage risk in the delivery of quality client services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Management, or a related field and 3 years of related experience
  • Must have 2 years of experience in one or a combination of the following skills: Program/Project management and implementation planning (PMO) including presentations, project management, project planning and organization, and data analysis and collection; Definition and design of business, functional and technical requirements, or technology architecture; Gap Analysis, System selection and implementation support; Data architecture, data mapping and conversion, and data analysis and forensics; Systems development lifecycle (SDLC), Implementation Methodologies (Waterfall, Agile); Release Management, and/or Production Readiness; Quality assurance and testing (QA)
  • Must have 2 years of experience in one or a combination of the following domains: Wealth and/or Asset management - Operations and/or Technology; Wealth and/or Asset Management - Regulatory and/or Compliance; Wealth and/or Asset Management - Data management; Wealth and/or Asset Management - Finance; Wealth and/or Asset Management - Quality assurance and testing (QA); IT Transformation; Customer Experience and/or transformation; Digital and/or Emerging Technology
  • Must have 2 years of experience in one or a combination of the following subject areas: Securities trading platforms: Charles River, Blackrock, Longview, LineData, Advent or similar; Reference Data Management: Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters or similar; Middle and Back-office Platforms: Advent, Sungard, SimCorp, Eagle or similar; Enterprise Systems Integration and solution architecture; IT transformation and program management, IT roadmap and planning; Enterprise Application Architecture and design with primary focus on Microservices, domain driven design, event driven integration patterns, DevOps, enterprise security and architecture governance; Define and implement the cloud strategies for one of the leading cloud platforms. Proficient in various toolset required for building distributed applications using Java/Open Source/Microsoft technologies and hosting on one of the leading public cloud providers Azure/AWS/GCP; Test strategy and execution

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working for a Fintech or financial software company
  • Prior consulting experience with a Big Four firm or large global financial institution
  • Prior experience operating in a traditional development framework (i.e., waterfall) in addition to Agile
  • Prior experience in product design or product development

Responsibilities

  • Working in and leading a collaborative team, managing relationships and feedback, and aligning goals and expectations among direct reports, peers, project leads, and senior managers/partners
  • Developing subject matter expertise across the wealth management sector
  • Conducting primary and secondary research to develop transformative go-to-market strategies and roadmaps including competitive benchmarking, customer experience/journeys and segmentation, FinTech M&A and integration, and market entry
  • Supporting clients in building industry leading solutions utilizing Agile methodologies across the product development lifecycle from ideation to implementation; working cross functionally with User Experience/Design and Technology businesses
  • Partnering with senior practitioners to develop industry defining thought leadership to form EY's perspective on disruptive topics in Wealth Management such as digital marketing, financial wellness, sustainability and ESG, behavioral science, and AI driven robo-advisor tools

  • Base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $101,500 to $186,000
  • Salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $121,700 to $211,300
