About The Position
Walt Disney Imagineering is the creative force behind the design and development of Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions, and cruise ships worldwide. The Sustainable Design & Engineering Intern will join the Walt Disney Imagineering Sustainability team, where they will have the opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative sustainability ideas for the built environment. This internship will allow the intern to work closely with project teams across global portfolios, assisting in the analysis and integration of sustainable design opportunities aimed at minimizing environmental impact. The intern will coordinate with master planning teams to identify resort-wide sustainability opportunities and will assist in collecting, documenting, and maintaining project data related to emissions, water usage, construction waste, and the embodied carbon of building materials. Additionally, the intern will contribute to brainstorming sessions to advance sustainability initiatives on assigned projects and actively promote a culture of sustainability within Walt Disney Imagineering. Participation in events focused on environmental sustainability across The Walt Disney Company will also be part of the role, providing a comprehensive experience in the field of sustainable design and engineering. This internship is scheduled to take place from January 2025 to May/June 2025, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading entertainment company while contributing to meaningful sustainability efforts.
