About The Position
Walt Disney Imagineering is the creative force behind the design and execution of Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions, and cruise ships worldwide. This internship role is situated within the Master Planning Studio, which is responsible for overseeing the master planning process, providing essential data and context for planning decisions, and contributing to projects through strategic planning advice. The studio focuses on five key areas: Land Planning, Urban & Regional Planning, Transportation & Infrastructure Planning, Environmental Planning & Permitting, and Real Estate Development & Entitlements. As a Master Planning intern, you will support various functions within the studio, engaging in tasks that may include land and urban planning, transportation and infrastructure planning, land strategy design, and real estate development and entitlements. The internship will provide you with the opportunity to engage in day-to-day planning-related design issues, offering creative, production, and technical support to project teams across Walt Disney Imagineering. You will be involved in creating planning and design documentation, including graphic illustrations, imagery, boards, and color renderings. Collaboration with designers and team leaders will be essential as you assist in site planning analysis, 3D visualization, and property-wide master planning initiatives. Additionally, you will conduct research and data analysis to inform planning and development decisions, contribute to a global planning database, and monitor industry trends and market changes. This internship is designed to foster your skills in a collaborative environment while allowing you to contribute to the sustainable growth of Disney resorts.
