The approximate date of this internship is May/June 2026 to December 2026 and will be located in Glendale, CA. What You Will Do We are looking for an Electrical Engineering intern who is interested in working within the department responsible for electrical engineering including design, analysis, calculations and specifications for low and medium voltage 3-phase power distribution systems; emergency power, generators and UPS standby systems; lighting systems and controls; fire alarm systems; communication systems; and HVAC controls for an individual facility/attraction, area development, land, or theme park project. As an intern on the team you will have the opportunity to: Assist with electrical engineering design and calculation tasks for a single project under senior staff supervision Make decisions within established guidelines and provide, under close supervision, engineering design and analysis in support of the production of construction contract documents

Requirements

  • General knowledge of the electrical engineering curriculum, with concentration in the areas of 3-phase power distribution and short circuit analysis
  • Knowledge of electrical load and energy calculations and basic electrical engineering calculations
  • Proficient in the use of 3D CAD technology
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
  • Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship in Glendale, CA

  • Active membership in IEEE, IES, or IAEI
