About The Position

A High School Teller is responsible for accurately handling a variety of member transactions while delivering professional and courteous service to foster and maintain strong member relationships. Responsible for staying knowledgeable about Royal Credit Union’s products, services, procedures, and regulations related to teller functions. Develop, promote, and implement monthly branch promotions while using Royal’s WBLAHS social media to enhance financial literacy and market the school branch. Work Schedule and Training: This part-time role requires working approximately 10-12 hours per week during the school year, with summer hours increasing to 20-25 hours per week. All high school tellers will be assigned to a Royal Credit Union branch. During the school year, the teller will work at the White Bear Lake Area High School branch during lunch period on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as 2-3 days per week and 2 Saturdays per month at their assigned RCU branch. Summer hours will be solely at their assigned branch and will vary. Scheduling will be flexible to accommodate school activities. Training will take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM for two weeks prior to the start of the regular schedule. Training dates are to be determined but will begin in June.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be a junior or senior and have taken at least two Business Career Pathway Classes
  • Consistent and reliable transportation
  • Must be available to work during all lunch hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays (SEE SCHEDULE ABOVE)
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Basic understanding of all Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to accurately process transactions and maintain high-quality work
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain professional, patient, and composed in challenging situations
  • Communicate and live RCU’s core purpose, values, and organizational culture every day
  • Comfortable with peer communication and interactions

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in customer service
  • Cash handling experience
  • Familiar with social media platforms
  • Interest in marketing and promotions
