In a temporary status, as a SEPTA Wayfinding Coordinator, you will design signs that direct new riders to the right platform, maps that help commuters navigate detours, and contribute to the visual systems that make transit more accessible for everyone.Reporting to SEPTA’s Manager of Wayfinding, you will add critical capacity as Greater Philadelphia welcomes the world during the Summer 2026 Special Events, and as SEPTA launches its New Bus Network, by developing temporary signage and communications tools, permanent fabricated signage, and digital User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) enhancements. You will be supported by industry-leading colleagues, as you follow SEPTA's established design standards and brand identity. You will get to see your work move from design to installation. Through regular site visits and station observations, you will expand your understanding of how wayfinding functions in real-world conditions and help refine solutions based on how riders use the system.Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of experience in technical documentation and environmental graphic design, or 3-5 years of experience in digital UI/UX design, with comfort in working across the two disciplines.
