About The Position

1st shift Wax Dresser Title: WAX ASSEMBLY Status: Hourly Shift: 1st, 6:00am-2:00pm Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to Dept. 610 Supervisor Location: Mentor / RP, OH Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and may be substituted by experience. Personal Characteristics: Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/ quantity. Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record. Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors. Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment. Previous casting experience is a plus. Must have experience with misc. hand tools, tables, racks, boxes, safety guidelines, feeds, grinders, inspection tools, etc. Principal Area of Responsibility: The Wax Dresser must be able to perform all operations and operate equipment in a safe and efficiently in dressing and blending of wax patterns. Production of high quantity /quality parts is required with daily production quota established, works with Work with glue, nail polishes, car wax, china marker propane torches, hot needle, hot plate, exacto knives, and dental tools. Specific Duties: Incumbent must handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy. Inspect, dress, book and blend wax patterns per procedures. Meet the specific requirements of the efficiency standard as established by Supervision. Record, on a daily basis, all work performed and the correct distribution of the work time by operational codes, using manufacturing computer system. Gets supplies, uses waxes, lubricants as required. Responsible for quality by visual inspection as well as by gauging. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Observes all safety rules, practices, policies and procedures. Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned. Physical and Mental Demands: Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed below. The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines. Must pass Jaeger vision test. Good vision, hand-eye coordination (inserting small pins into wax pattern).
