About The Position

WAVY-TV 10/ WVBT FOX43 is searching for a dynamic SPORTS INTERN who wants to learn the inner workings of a newsroom and Sports Department including, but not limited to: Writing, shooting, and editing for sports reports in newscasts. The intern will be working with photographers and sports reporters in the newsroom and in the field to prep for the final on-air stories, as well as experiencing other departments and aspects of a TV station. This is an UNPAID / FOR-CREDIT position for the Spring 2026 semester only.

Requirements

• Completed journalism and TV Production courses.
• Understanding of journalistic integrity.
• Passion for the field.
• Working knowledge of video editing software like AVID/Final Cut Pro.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suites is preferred.
• Familiarity with sports and newswriting software is a plus.
• Must be enrolled in a college degree-granting program.
• Must show proof of enrollment in an internship course within that program.
