About The Position

WAVY-TV 10/WVBT FOX43 is searching for a dynamic SALES & MARKETING INTERN who wants to make a difference for clients trying to grow their business through advertising with a top local TV station, along with our website and social media platforms. The intern will assist the sales team in creation of sales one-sheets, assist in planning of special sales projects, perform ratings research, assist staff in prep for sales calls, and work with clients on social media strategy. This is an UNPAID / FOR-CREDIT position for the Spring 2026 semester only.

Requirements

• Completed courses in a Sales or Marketing-related curriculum
• Working knowledge of WordPress and social media platforms
• Willingness to learn the inner workings of a local newsroom
• Must be enrolled in a college degree granting program
• Must show proof of enrollment in an internship course

Nice To Haves

• Some experience crafting images and videos for social media platforms

Responsibilities

• Assist the sales team in creation of sales one-sheets
• Assist in planning of special sales projects

• Create Facebook and Instagram posts as directed
