About The Position

WAVY-TV 10/WVBT FOX43 is searching for a dynamic DIGITAL INTERN who wants to write for the web, produce multimedia stories about Hampton Roads, and assist in operating a dynamic website with regular updates as well as constantly emerging content. This is an UNPAID / FOR-CREDIT position for the Spring 2026 semester only.

Requirements

• Must have completed writing and editing courses.
• Working knowledge of WordPress and CMS.
• Familiarity with social media platforms.
• Videography course with working knowledge of Adobe Premiere preferred.
• Must be enrolled in a college degree granting program.
• Must show proof of enrollment in an internship course within that program.

Responsibilities

• Write for the web and produce multimedia stories about Hampton Roads.
• Assist in operating a dynamic website with regular updates.
• Create Facebook posts and Tweets to promote coverage.
• Learn the inner workings of a local newsroom and how all departments in a TV station work to support each other.
