About The Position

WAVY-TV 10/ WVBT FOX43 is searching for a dynamic BROADCAST ENGINEERING INTERN who wants to work closely with IT and engineering staff to maintain broadcast systems, identify problems, assist in resolving rapidly to maintain highest levels of transmission reliability for the station; participate in installation, testing, commissioning of new services and software: troubleshoot TVU live packs and live capabilities (ENG and SAT trucks). This is an UNPAID / FOR-CREDIT position for the Spring 2026 semester only.

Requirements

• Must be studying communications, engineering, or equivalent courses.
• Interest in broadcast engineering and live broadcast technologies.
• Interest in design, construction, and operation of complex broadcast systems.
• Must be enrolled in a college degree granting program.
• Must show proof of enrollment in an internship course within that program.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with IT and engineering staff to maintain broadcast systems.
