We are hiring immediately for a full-time Logistics Coordinator/ Customer Service position. This role is the life support that keeps regional hospitals stocked. The shipments you will be coordinating end up in the hands of doctors & nurses to help advance today's healthcare.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Directs activities assigning tariff classifications according to type and weight of freight or merchandise; routing and scheduling shipment by air, rail, or truck; and preparing billings from tariff and classification manuals.
  • Reviews documents to ensure that assigned classifications and tariffs are in accordance with mode of transportation and destination of shipment.
  • Investigates shipper or consignee complaints regarding lost or damaged merchandise or shortages in shipment to determine responsibility.
  • Directs preparation of claims against carrier responsible and corresponds with shipper or consignee to effect settlement.
  • Schedules shipments to ensure compliance with interstate traffic laws and regulations and company policies.
