The primary responsibility of this position is to allocate orders, release work to the warehouse floor, balance workflow, and ensure that inbound and outbound truck turn times are within acceptable levels. The role involves resolving order product shortages, managing order cuts, and communicating with customers. The individual will release work to the work queue in a manner that ensures maximum levels of interleaving, productivity, and carrier turn times. Additionally, the position requires prioritizing individual Lift Truck Operator (LTO) tasks along with Dock Supervisors, ensuring the dock office utilizes inbound and outbound dock optimization functionality for each receipt and order, and running labor reports to review with Dock Supervisors and the Office Manager. The individual will also review and update base priorities weekly, LTO home work zone assignments, product code velocity zone assignments, and optimal static and dynamic pick locations in collaboration with the Operations Manager. Active participation in continuous improvement projects and safety programs is expected, along with evaluating the effectiveness of systems and recommending changes where appropriate. Troubleshooting and correcting systems problems, as well as training all levels of users on relevant systems, are also part of the job. The individual must follow attendance policies and be ready to work their assigned shift.
