About The Position

Techtronic Industries Floor Care, a subsidiary of TTI, has an opening in its Greer, SC location for a Distribution Operator. JOB SUMMARY Will monitor, assess, and optimize order flow within the distribution center.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience in operations planning.
  • Experience with SAP/Oracle
  • Flexibility to work all shifts, including mandatory overtime.
  • Must be an initiative-taker and able to prioritize to successfully complete tasks, both short and long-term
  • Interact well with customers, internal and external.
  • Must have the ability to multitask and be detail-oriented.
  • Requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • PC literate, experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to apply basic calculations as related to quantities of product picked.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stoop, kneel, and bend.
  • Prolonged periods of standing

Responsibilities

  • Possess a strong working knowledge of all department groups, including Warehousing, Distribution, and Transportation
  • Set work into obtainable work groups, and re-prioritization when necessary.
  • Release orders based on pick-up time/date, order size, type, and complexity.
  • Responsible for keeping operations with steady workflow and advising when work is limited.
  • Update the wave dashboards.
  • Ensure communication with all operational stakeholders with regard to waves.
  • Troubleshoot/Problem Solve and escalate if there are issues with waves.
  • Coordinate location moves and wave planning issues with Inventory Control Team
  • Notifies operations of all requested changes from customers regarding scheduling, processing, and shipping
  • Ensures all customer orders are waved and processed in order priority.
  • Compiles order from customers into waves to release to production.
  • Ensure that all orders are complete and reviewed prior to the start of the operations.
  • Monitors SAP to determine the efficiency of workflow.
  • Monitors order queue and ensure the balance between replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Monitors each wave and releases in accordance with customer’s Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
  • Produce and maintain reports such as wave tracking throughput, and wave cancellation rates as required.
  • Ability to use effective interpersonal skills to interact and communicate at all levels.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
