About The Position
As a Wave Planner Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the distribution center by managing the release of orders to the Work Management System (WMS) on an hourly basis. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that departments have a consistent flow of orders to fulfill throughout the production day. This involves strategically dropping orders to meet service levels and sending daily orders while maintaining communication with other departments. You will monitor order progress using High Jump software and may interact with the customer service department to effectively plan and execute production, shipping, and compliance account structures, ensuring that shipping windows are met. In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will be cross-trained in various departments to provide assistance and support as needed, which may include administrative duties for the distribution center. Building and maintaining productive, effective, and professional relationships with peers, superiors, auditors, and others is essential, as is representing the company positively and supportively. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment. Your impact will extend to coordinating and managing daily outbound waves using the WMS Highjump, prioritizing and releasing customer orders while adhering to vendor compliance routing guides and proper shipping methods. You will work closely with distribution management and the customer service department to resolve any order issues and process special requests. Communication with warehouse personnel will be vital to investigate and address inventory allocation issues that may arise during the wave creation and release process. You will also develop strategies with the Shipping Supervisor to optimize order fulfillment based on shipping dates and priorities, and investigate aging waves and cartons to resolve any discrepancies through HighJump. Additionally, you will support the distribution center with various administrative duties as required.
