About The Position

Del Zotto Products of Florida LLC, for the WaterWorks division, is a leading provider of high-quality precast concrete products and services, specializing in underground utility solutions. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented WaterWorks/Underground Utility Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position that will involve working on exciting underground utility projects and collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals.

Requirements

• Experience : Several years of experience as an estimator or in a similar role within the underground utility industry.
• Knowledge : A strong understanding of underground utility construction processes, including trenching, storm water/sanitary installation, and tie-ins.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
• Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately assess project costs and risks.
• Mathematical Skills : Strong mathematical skills for performing calculations and analyzing data.
• Software Proficiency : Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software.
• Blueprint Reading : Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Project Analysis : Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation to accurately assess project scope and requirements.
• Vendor Management : Collaborate with vendors to obtain quotes, ensuring competitive pricing.
• Bid Preparation : Prepare detailed bids for underground utility projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Change Order Management : Manage and evaluate change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Cost Tracking : Monitor and track project costs to ensure that projects stay within budget.
• Communication : Work closely with the owners, and sale team to ensure project success.
• Safety : Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
