About The Position

Colliers Engineering & Design is currently seeking a Waterway Structures Project Manager to join our growing team! This position has the potential for remote work arrangement. As a recognized national leader in the design of waterway structures, we handle projects from initial investigation and concept design, through final design and construction services. By applying our extensive knowledge and experience, we believe our engineers, scientists and planners can build a more sustainable world through design while protecting our most valuable resource and delivering cost-effective solutions that meet our clients’ goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering is required; Master's degree or PMP certification is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience managing task orders for Dam Safety and/or Waterway Structures projects is required.
  • PE license is required.
  • Prior business development experience is required.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead multi-disciplinary teams meeting schedule, budget, and quality goals.
  • Proven ability to identify, pursue, and win work from existing and new clients.
  • Ability to work remotely with team members in other offices.
  • Some travel may be required for site visits, meetings, etc.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or PMP certification is preferred.
  • Previous mentoring and coaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage resources, schedules, financials, management issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
  • Ensure the success of the projects under his/her management.
  • Provide leadership to individuals within and outside of Colliers Engineering & Design.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise the work and workload of project staff.
  • Monitor project costs to ensure that project is delivered within budget, fulfills customer expectations, maintains profitability, and/or aligns with the company strategic objectives.
