About The Position

  • Possession of a current standard first aid and personal safety certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol parks, reservations, historic sites, and watershed areas to promote compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Supervise the dissemination of information to visitors about public land use and available services.
  • Encourage safe and appropriate use of state lands through various modes of patrol.
  • Prepare and conduct tours, workshops, and presentations on natural and cultural history.
  • Assess the condition of trails and resources, submitting reports for improvements and restorations.
  • Control crowds during special events and ensure public order.
  • Participate in rescue operations and provide first aid or CPR as needed.
  • Assist in producing educational materials and maintaining public information displays.
  • Participate in volunteer activities such as clean-ups and trail crews.
  • Assist in fire prevention and control efforts.
