Requirements

1–3 years of CNC waterjet or similar CNC machine operation experience (laser, plasma, router)
Ability to read technical drawings and understand GD&T
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

Experience with architectural metals or custom fabrication preferred
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software a plus (FlowPath, OMAX Layout/Make, SigmaNest, etc.)

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor CNC waterjet equipment to cut metal parts to specification
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, part files (DXF/DWG), and job travelers
Load and secure materials safely (sheet, plate, architectural metals)
Perform basic machine programming, nesting, and setup
Inspect finished parts for accuracy using calipers, gauges, and measuring tools
Maintain cut quality, edge finish, and tight tolerances
Perform routine maintenance, nozzle checks, and equipment upkeep
Work collaboratively with engineering and fabrication teams to meet project deadlines
Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
