About The Position

American Systems is seeking a Waterfront Power Coordinator with a secret clearance and 8 years of experience to support Code 226 HM&E Testing Program in San Diego, CA.

Requirements

  • 8 years of navy maintenance experience.
  • 3 years of experience in oversight and management of the removal, installation and testing of Navy ships systems during availabilities, including modernization actions.
  • Experience should include managing shipboard work in power coordination, coordination and scheduling the 'tag in/tag out' of all equipment providing power to ensure safety of all workers.
  • HS Graduate and 3 years of experience in the operation, maintenance, testing and repair of HM&E Equipment on US Navy Surface Ships or Submarines.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Power Coordination, interface with ships force, NSWCPD, ISRA and other activities performing shipboard work to schedule the 'tag in/tag out' of all equipment.
  • Provide power to ensure safety of workers and support for the alterations being completed by the maintenance activity, shipyard and Alteration Installation Team (AIT).
  • Notify the Ship Manager Representative of delays and changes from all production entities.
  • Support Shipboard Testing with in-depth knowledge of the Shipboard WAF process and eSOMS system.
  • Provide waterfront power support daily and manage the schedule for all aspects of work being completed.
