About The Position

RK&K is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to support and expand our municipal practice in Western Pennsylvania, with a strong emphasis on water and wastewater conveyance systems and pump stations. This role is well suited for a motivated professional who excels at building client relationships, pursuing and winning work, and leading the delivery of technically sound infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in municipal water and/or wastewater engineering, with a strong focus on conveyance and pump station projects
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Demonstrated success delivering and managing conveyance infrastructure projects
  • Proven ability to develop client relationships and pursue new work
  • Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Established municipal client relationships in Western Pennsylvania
  • Extensive experience with pump stations, force mains, gravity systems, and associated appurtenances
  • Experience working directly with contractors and agencies during construction

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with municipal and utility clients throughout Western Pennsylvania
  • Identify, pursue, and win new projects focused on water and wastewater conveyance systems, including pump stations, force mains, gravity sewers, and related infrastructure
  • Lead and actively participate in the planning, design, and delivery of conveyance and pumping projects
  • Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and quality control from planning through construction
  • Serve as a technical and project leader, coordinating with internal multidiscipline teams, subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Provide construction phase engineering services, including RFIs, submittal reviews, field coordination, and troubleshooting
  • Support proposals, interviews, and marketing efforts for municipal conveyance and infrastructure improvement projects
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development and long‑term growth of the practice
