Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred)
- Licensure: PE license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 1 year
- Experience: 10+ years in U.S.-based civil engineering or governmental infrastructure work
- Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Paris, IL (hybrid schedule available)
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Adobe and AutoCAD
- Client Engagement: Strong relationship-building and client-facing skills
- Mindset: Collaborative, adaptable, values-driven
Responsibilities
- Serve as the project engineer for a variety of water-related infrastructure projects
- Oversee the full project lifecycle: initiation, design, construction, and closeout
- Ensure project delivery aligns with scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards
- Develop and manage proposals, plans, specifications, estimates, and grant documentation
- Conduct on-site investigations and feasibility studies across multiple domains
- Lead client relationships and participate in business development
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment and efficiency
