About The Position

As a W/WW Project Engineer, your day will be dynamic and impactful, contributing directly to the delivery of critical infrastructure projects with minimal oversight. You'll work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, supporting design development, technical analysis, and project coordination. With a high volume of active work, your ability to communicate clearly, manage tasks efficiently, and proactively solve problems will help alleviate pressure on senior staff. This role is ideal for someone ready to grow into a Project Manager position, someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings initiative, and can hit the ground running without requiring extensive hands-on training. Projected salary range of $125,000 - $150,000+

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 4-8 years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad and Civil3D software.
  • This hybrid job operates between an office environment and a field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines. May require occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.
  • While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. This job may occasionally require operating a company vehicle, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and related systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical solutions, prepare engineering reports, and produce high-quality design documents.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and deadlines, contributing independently with minimal oversight while maintaining alignment with project goals.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure clarity, progress updates, and responsiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in project coordination, budgeting, and scheduling, with a focus on developing the skills and experience needed to transition into a Project Manager role.
  • Help alleviate workload pressure on senior staff by proactively identifying needs, solving problems, and delivering reliable engineering support.
