About The Position

The City of Rawlins is currently seeking applications for the position of Water & Wastewater Plant Operator 1. This position under the direction of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Superintendent, or head operator, performs entry level technical work in the operation, servicing and general maintenance of equipment in a water treatment plant; assists in back-up operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience with mechanical equipment preferred.
• Ability to acquire Level 1 Certification in water treatment operation within one year.
• Ability to acquire Level 1 wastewater operator certification within two years.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry level technical work in the operation of a water treatment plant.
• Service and maintain equipment in the water treatment plant.
• Assist in the back-up operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
