About The Position

H2O Innovation is seeking a Water & Wastewater Maintenance Operator to work under the direction of the Project Manager at their WaterHub® reuse facilities. This role involves a variety of responsibilities including plant operations, laboratory testing, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure the efficient functioning of water and wastewater systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• Experience in maintaining electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment, process sensors, systems, and industrial controls.
• Water/Wastewater Certification preferred, but not required.
• Strong ability to learn new processes, equipment, and systems quickly and effectively.
• Valid driver's license with a clean and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to provide on-call coverage for plant alarms and issues, including remote after-hours response to resolve problems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in wastewater treatment operations.
• Knowledge of chemical dosing and monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain various plant equipment including pumps, motors, piping, and process equipment.
• Ensure the proper functioning of membrane bioreactors (MBRs), reverse osmosis (RO) systems, rotary screens, blowers, hydroponic reactors, and ultraviolet disinfection units.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of plant systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Repair and replace faulty equipment as necessary.
• Calibrate sensors and chemical dosing pumps to ensure accurate operation.
• Monitor and adjust chemical dosing for optimal treatment performance.
• Order necessary chemicals, supplies, and spare parts to maintain uninterrupted operations.
