About The Position

Arcadis is currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Resilience Water Team in El Paso, Texas. Collaborating with our experienced Water Professionals, you will support and drive development of projects, interact and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities. Projects include planning, sustainability and resilience assessment, permitting, design, design services during construction, construction management; all related to water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems, including pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment facilities. Arcadis provides multiple onboarding and development programs created for our young professionals that support professional growth and help drive creativeness, innovation, and greater integration within our local, national, and global teams.

Requirements

  • Orientation in public works operations, engineering, and/or construction.
  • Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and writing abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment

Nice To Haves

  • EIT certification
  • Master’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study.
  • Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, process modeling software, GIS, database management and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Providing engineering support with weekly supervision of a project manager to deliver tasks.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for clients.
  • Assist with field data collection, ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, and leverage digital tools such as BIM, SharePoint, and Power BI to enhance project delivery.
  • Occasional travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, and construction oversight.
