About The Position

The Water/Wastewater Engineer II (Certified EIT) position at Ardurra involves performing engineering tasks related to the design, research, and construction administration of municipal water and wastewater facilities. The role is designed for individuals with limited experience who will work under general supervision, gaining exposure to a variety of projects including treatment facilities, distribution systems, and utility-related projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Certified Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Limited experience in engineering design and analysis.
  • Familiarity with engineering software and design tools.

Responsibilities

  • Gather data for engineering analyses through phone contacts, written correspondence, and research sources.
  • Perform calculations and research for designs using engineering formulas and skills in formulating possible results based on different scenarios.
  • Assist in preparation of engineering reports, opinions, and recommendations; maintain completed project files and proper document control.
  • Conduct experiments and data collection with emphasis on data integrity, quality control, and protocol compliance; utilize data acquisition/recording equipment and instrumentation.
  • Perform field tests & measurements, collect field data, and process data.
  • Prepare statistical and narrative reports and/or graphs based on outcomes of research, analysis, and interpretation of studies.
  • Assist Project Manager with project concept designs and participate in final project design.
  • Design portions of a project under supervision, including evaluating alternatives, conducting engineering studies and design calculations, and performing preliminary/detailed design.
  • Assist with preparing design drawings, technical specifications, material quantity take-off, and developing construction costs for projects.
  • Assist with the research of funding opportunities/grants for clients and prospective clients; maintain data on funding sources and procedures for future reference.
  • Provide other duties as may be assigned by the Project Managers/Task Leads to support project team.
  • Understand multi-disciplinary team coordination; build and maintain relationships between project teams and collaborate to ensure that technical, quality, cost, and client requirements are implemented; coordinate with outside sub-consultants/other disciplines; direct the work of drafters and designers.
  • Regularly seek out guidance and feedback from senior engineering staff.
