About The Position

The Water Truck Driver is responsible for operating a commercial water truck to control dust, provide moisture for compaction, and support site operations on large-scale earthwork and infrastructure projects. This role requires a valid CDL and experience working as a water truck driver in construction environments. This is a safety sensitive role that requires one to safely navigate rough terrain, active construction zones, and public roads while adhering to all DOT and site-specific regulations. The role will work with site supervisors, grade-checkers, and equipment operators to determine where and when water is needed. This is a safety sensitive position, in which you can expect to be climbing in and out of truck cabs, be responsible for hooking up to a predetermined water source, load and unload materials up to 50 lbs, and operate the hose, monitor and spray nozzles. You’ll need to be able to safely walk on unfinished terrain. It’s a job site, there are 2:1 slopes, rough and rocky patches and general walking hazards you’ll need to be aware of and avoid. Requirements

  • at least 1 year experience in the construction industry, preferably as a water truck operator
  • current CDL with tanker endorsement
  • experienced working on construction sites
  • ability to navigate uneven and rough terrain safely
  • pass an MVR check and a drug test before starting work
  • willing to travel as needed
  • comfortable and capable to work safely in hot, humid, cold and wet conditions, outside
