About The Position

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Water Treatment Technician responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing water treatment of irrigation water in all growing regions in California. Conduct other tasks as directed by Farm Food Safety/QA Manager. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Experience in critical thinking, practicing scientific methods, and inspection activities.
  • Must possess good written, verbal and telephone skills.
  • Computer literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, required.
  • Ability to be responsive and communicate effectively (verbally and written).
  • Must be organized, decisive, and detail oriented.
  • Remote work not available for this position.
  • Must live in Kern County area and work in the Coachella area for approximately four months out of the year during entire winter harvest season. (Housing or housing allowance is provided by the company).
  • No vacation (PTO) will be allowed during this time and excessive unexcused absences will result in either end of assignment or transfer back to Lamont.
  • Must be able to work overtime and different shifts as needed. Shift varies depending on needs of irrigation events.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
  • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with farming and irrigation a plus.

  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
