About The Position
As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you’ll play a critical role in operating and maintaining advanced water treatment systems to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality water for essential facilities, including hospitals and commercial properties. Your key duties include: Operating and managing systems like Chemical Dosing, Ion Exchange Filtration, Ultraviolet Disinfection, and Reverse Osmosis. Monitoring and fine-tuning process controls and chemical dosing for optimal performance. Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting equipment issues. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with Maryland regulatory standards. Collaborating with colleagues to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
Requirements
- Active Class T2 or T4 Water Treatment Operator Certification from the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE), critical for ensuring compliance and operational expertise.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred experience with chemical injection and ion exchange systems.
