Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Three years in operation of water treatment processes, well systems and water distribution system operation and repair.
  • Demonstrated experience and possession of a current state water operator license.
  • Must possess a valid, active state driver’s license, CDL preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional trade specific courses preferred.
  • Prefer (but not required) water license.
  • Must be able to attain a minimum of a C level Missouri Water license within 6 months of starting the position.

Responsibilities

  • Independently operate, maintain, repair and inspect water treatment systems at treatment plant, wells and similar work in the water distribution system.
  • Collect water samples per state regulations, record data and prepare regulatory reports.
  • Adjust chemical feed rates and perform maintenance of the water systems.
  • Maintain and calibrate hand-held and on-line monitoring equipment and treatment equipment as required.
  • Follow Company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies, and report unsafe conditions.
  • Take and record system operation readings according to prescribed schedules.
  • Maintain daily logs, records plant operating data as required in logs and operations software.
  • Communicate effectively, timely, and respectfully with other employees, supervisors, and citizen customers.
  • Assist in repairs of water and sewer main and service repairs with other project staff.
  • Perform other related functions assigned or as they become apparent.
