Learn more at www.aquatech.com Aquatech has an immediate need for a fulltime Water Treatment Operator to work in our Metaline Falls ,WA site location. The hours are a Dupoint 12. The Operator will report to the O&M Manager and will perform the duties described in the job description below and will considered a Non Exempt employee. The ideal candidate will have good communications skills, organized, ability to interpret instructions, and an attention to detail. The candidate will have prior experience working in industrial water treatment plants. Starting Rate of Pay: $34.00 per hour
Requirements
- Experienced in operating and maintaining industrial water treatment plants involving at least some of the following: Pre–treatment (P.T), Demineralization (DM), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultra-filtration, EDI, Thermal Desalination and Zero-Liquid Discharge.
- Two (2) years+ experience in operating a water treatment plant .
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain positive attitude and good organizational skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to be hands on and to carry out tasks with minimal monitoring
- Attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge and experience in chemical processes involved in Pre-Treatment Filters , Reverse Osmosis etc is a plus.
- Experience with mechanical or electrical maintenance is a plus
Responsibilities
- Monitor the plant operation
- Keep records of operation
- Carry out quality checks and chemistry control
- Report any abnormalities to O&M Manager
- Loading and unloading of consumable chemicals
- Operate the plant from HMI
- Taking samples and assiste in analyzing in local laboratory
- Loading and unloading Reverse Osmosis membranes when required
- Coordinate and assist with maintenance activities on as required basis
