Water Treatment Operator - 1st Shift
About The Position
Triple Cities Metal Finishing is currently seeking a Water Treatment Operator to join our 1st shift team. As a Water Treatment Operator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the water treatment plant. This includes monitoring and adjusting treatment processes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and maintaining equipment to ensure the delivery of safe and clean water. Whether it is electroplating, electroless plating, wet paint, or powder coat, we finish it right the first time!
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and plumbing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Water treatment background is preferred.
- Experience with PVC, CPVC, and black steel pipe is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation of the water treatment plant, including monitoring gauges, flowmeters, charts, and system control computers.
- Perform water analysis tests such as alkalinity and pH to ensure water quality.
- Determine and adjust chemical feed rates to maintain proper treatment levels
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on plant equipment, including pumps, piping, and filtration systems
- Quickly and effectively respond to alarms and issues with systems and equipment
- Accurately record data regarding treatment plant operations and distribution system pressures, tank levels, and flow rates
- Ensure that plant operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
