At CCMC, our Water Taxi Driver helps to create memorable experiences for residents and guests by facilitating safe Duffy Boat rides around the lake.

Requirements

  • CPR certification (class and certification fee are provided)
  • Watercraft operation experience
  • High degree of customer service, interpersonal, and communications skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Leadership abilities
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state drivers license for the class of vehicle you are driving, maintain a clean motor vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits. You must notify Human Resources immediately regarding any change to your motor vehicle standing.
  • Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
  • Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

  • Operating an electric Duffy Boat for passengers around a lake
  • Assisting passengers on an off the vessel
  • Providing a unique and informative lake tour
  • Cleaning and maintaining designated areas
  • Assisting with lake attendant tasks including patrol
  • Following all safety protocols for loading and unloading
  • Distributing life jackets and safety instructions to passengers
  • Reporting any damage or safety concerns to the Harbor Master
  • Observing and encouraging compliance with lake rules and code of conduct
  • Serving as an informational and educational resource
