About The Position
The Water Systems Technician I or II position involves performing semi-skilled to skilled field work related to the maintenance and repair of the City's potable and reclaimed water distribution systems. The role includes tasks such as disinfection and flushing of water meters, installation and calibration of water meters, and addressing citizen inquiries regarding water quality. The Technician I level is entry-level, while the Technician II level requires more advanced skills and supervisory capabilities. Successful candidates will participate in an Apprenticeship Training Program leading to a Journeyman Certificate for Meter Repairer.
