Position Overview Technical Operators perform various functions to ensure the operational efficiency and safety of multiple water supply and wastewater treatment plants. This is a flex position that provides as-needed operational support, primarily during weekends and holidays. Assignments may rotate between facilities located in Findlay, Fostoria, Lima, and Wapakoneta, Ohio. This opportunity is ideal for certified operators seeking supplemental income with scheduling flexibility, or persons ready to take on a new challenge, we train all new hires. The Technical Operator position includes multiple levels, based on experience and state certifications. Requirements

  • Good and effective communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • Mechanical or electrical experience preferred but not required
  • Commitment to following established policies and procedures
  • Ability to work independently across multiple facilities
  • Approximately 75% field work and 25% office time

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record flow meters and system run hours
  • Log plant operation details electronically and in writing
  • Monitor treatment processes and apply directed operational adjustments based on results
